Even if the school does not require a sports physical, it is still a recommended preventative safety measure. During a sports physical, the physician is looking for medical conditions that could predispose your child to injury while practicing or playing the sport.
Fresno DOT Physicals
The Department of Transportation (DOT) mandates that commercial vehicle drivers pass a physical examination that is performed by a licensed medical examiner who is certified to do DOT Physical Examinations. In order to receive your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), it is required that you pass a DOT Physical Examination.

If you need a DOT physical examination, schedule your appointment today! First Health Medical Center has an on-site DOT Certified Medical Examiner who is trained and certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). We can provide your DOT physical, blood work, and paperwork for you to get your DOT Medical Certificate. The DOT physical costs $147 cash.

In addition, we work with commercial transportation companies to handle all of your DOT physical examinations, scheduling, and paperwork. We strive to get your drivers back on the road as quickly and safely as possible, and we make the billing easy!
Note: Federal guidelines require your DOT Physical to be performed every two years for a commercial driver’s license to be renewed. The time between DOT Physicals can be shorter than two years if you have a medical condition that requires regular monitoring, such as high blood pressure or diabetes.
